Japan is off to a very slow start, but rest assured – snow is coming!

If you’re traveling to Japan’s main island this Christmas, get your snow dancing shoes on and start busting out your best moves! That’s the message from snow-industry managers all over Honshu, who are presently sweating on the snow Gods to deliver a season starting dump!

A quick review of the long term snow-fall statistics, compiled over the last 6 years, confirms this year’s snow falls are way below average.

The good news is that things are starting to improve. Check out these 12 day forecasts from our friends at Snowforecast.com. Presently it looks like the mountains of Nagano can expect decent snow on the 23, 27 and 31 Dec, while the resorts of Hokkaido can expect very good snowfalls from now on.
